The naturally tanned leather will form a wonderful rich patina with use adding to the wallets unique character.

I use J & FJ Baker oak bark leather for all my hand made Brompton accessories and small leather goods

This tannery is the only oak bark tannery in the UK

Oak bark tannage is a long, gentle process that protects the natural fibres of the hide unlike modern tanning methods.

The tannery sources hides locally as a by-product of the meat industry and they are tanned using only oak bark and water for minimal environmental impact.

It takes 14 months to produce each piece of leather using this age old technique, making the leather stronger and more durable over time.

It is full grain leather, not corrected grain, meaning that there will be natural blemishes and stretch marks which add a lovely unique quality to each product.

The card case can be personalised for free. Just fill out the form as you check out.
